Why Us

What Makes Us Different

Your uniforms are our first priority.

With the capabilities of an international corporation but the approach of a boutique firm, Ukrop’s Threads encompasses the best of both worlds. In an industry where quality and competitive pricing are expected, it’s our priority to fill in the gaps and provide unmatched service with responsiveness and flexibility. We’re proud to be able to offer robust programs to every client and exceed expectations every step of the way.

History

Grounded in our local roots and motivated by a desire to serve.

Before Ukrop’s Threads there was Ukrop’s Super Markets — a family-owned grocery chain recognized nationally for having the highest levels of service and product quality, and loved locally for being a grocer and employer who lived by the Golden Rule. Ukrop’s Threads emerged in the early ‘90s as a solution to a common problem in the grocery industry: low quality uniforms accompanied by poor service. Operating under Ukrop’s Super Markets’ customer-centric values, we have grown to outfit over 1,000,000 members of our nation’s workforce.

Social Responsibility

Our beliefs.

At Ukrop’s Threads, we care about the communities in which we do business … and, we expect our partners to do the same. That is why we require all Suppliers to commit to our Supplier Code of Conduct as part of our partnership agreement.

When we produce goods in other countries, we understand that the manufacturing jobs we create, may be the difference between putting food on the table and going hungry. It is our core belief that we are responsible for helping these communities by both driving growth and taking action against Suppliers who do not act in accordance with our social standards. If there is evidence that any Supplier is involved in human trafficking, slavery, or unsafe working conditions, we will take swift actions to investigate.

Our mission to be socially responsible and our dedication to support the countries in which we do business are reflected in our Social and Labor Compliance Program.
